Good Value
Pros: 39" led with 1080i for under $400
Cons: only 2 hdmi inputs limited sound outputs
"Sharp picture. Can still be washed out with side lighting and blacks lose intensity in dark room despite picture adjustments. Most Multi-Brand remotes do not recognize it. I used a Harmony One Learning remote which works fine. Limitation of only 2 HDMI inputs is not ideal for my setup. Also the audio output is not compatible with newer sound bars etc.
If I was doing it again, I might spend a bit more for a better known brand with more HDMI inputs but I was happy enough to keep it past the 90 day return period.
Depending what you're looking for the price of the TV is often only half the cost once you add in the other features like Blue Ray, Speakers, Apple TV etc. etc. etc.
However as a stand alone it works well and I'm blown away with the picture quality compared to the 32" Sony CRT it replaced. I followed the advice of one of the other posters and purchased the additional 3 year warranty.
I wanted LED and 1080i and this delivers it a great price. Costco.ca shipping was fast as always"

Sound is not so good
"Speakers are weak and echoy. New Shaw Hd box won't accept any TV codes found at URCsupport. Shaw service guy was able to take my older model Shaw remote and get to conform to Haier.Picture is good but remote is a little fragile."

Exactly what I needed - big enough but not too big
Pros: good quality stable picture with a good price.
Cons: seems to be unable to tune channel 8 hd.
"This is a good looking TV with a very sharp picture and low power use. The sound is a lot better than I expected from the internal speakers but perhaps not good enough for some people. It is only able to receive half of the stations available here off air (St. John's, NL) and that is 1 out of 2 stations. It appears that this set is unable to tune channel 8 HD but this seems to be a common problem with CBCTV in this area. However, I have a digital tuner box (HDMI) and that brings in both channels perfectly. Since the set has a PC Monitor input, I am able to watch programmes off of the internet from my computer without problems in acceptable quality. The set also makes a good, if rather large, computer monitor."
