[转贴] Dell's board adds $5 billion for stock repurchases

DELL on Tuesday said its board of directors authorized and additional $5 billion for stock repurchases. The authorization is in addition to $2.16 billion remaining from previous earmarks Dell made to buy back its shares. The company also said it spent $1.6 billion on stock repurchases during the first half of its current fiscal year. Dell shares rose 2.4% in after-hours trading.
